Bidrage med feedbackAfter seeing the photos someone posted, I wasn't sure if this was Orcutt Burger or Vandenburger. Regardless, it was my first and last time visiting this place. The food was expensive and terrible, and the workers were rude. The prices on their website were much lower than what was listed on the menu board in the restaurant. When we pointed this out to them, they didn't seem to care.
Avoid the pastrami sandwich at all costs. Despite knowing that pastrami can be fatty, this sandwich was overwhelmingly filled with fat. The amount of meat and fat made the sandwich difficult to eat, as it was spilling over and ruining the roll. I had to remove most of the fat and what little meat there was in order to attempt to eat it, but it ultimately turned out to be a soggy, fatty mess. To make matters worse, it cost me $11. Save yourself the disappointment and make the extra trip to town for a better meal. This sandwich was a huge disappointment and tasted terrible.
Vandenburger, formerly known as this restaurant, used to be a favorite of ours for its delicious food and generous portions. However, over the years, the quality of the food has declined while prices have continued to rise. Previously justifiable due to the tasty burgers, the current offerings are disappointing with overcooked burgers and skimpy toppings. We have given them multiple chances to improve, but unfortunately, we can no longer support this establishment that we had hoped would thrive in the Village.
Updated review, but this one unfortunately isn 't a pleasant one either. I ordered a grilled chicken salad today. Decided to walk in because the drive-thru had a line. First off, the temperament of the employees is awful. They all looked miserable which to me, is super unfortunate. One of the employees I recognized and she always seemed upbeat and happy. Today I could barely get a hello out of her. The manager/supervisor seemed to be arguing with the young man who was running the grill. He also (supervisor), was not wearing a mask, despite the mandate. Second, the young man on the grill continuously touched burger patties, well the paper to be technical, that had blood on it, as well as other food without wearing gloves or washing his hands in between. Kept wiping them on the same dirty towel/his apron. YIKES. Needless to say, I watched this go in the entire time I waited for my food. As someone who has worked around food for over 13 years, this type of thing really bothers me. Its unfortunate that this place can 't seem to be a decent place for food. I won 't be returning. I 'll take my money to The Habit where I know I 'll be greeted genuinely, and my food will be properly handled.
This is my first time trying the new Orcutt burgers here in Lompoc. Normally Orcutt burgers is excellent, their food has always been delicious in my opinion. That's why I was so disappointed when the food I received from the new Orcutt burgers in Lompoc was not up to the Orcutt burgers standards I was used to. I bought a grilled chicken wrap and a water. There are a couple of things that disappointed me about my wrap. The tomatoes were bad, or at the very least very mushy. My cheese was not melted, it literally tasted like somebody sprinkled straight from a bag and then immediately gave me the wrap. I don't know if it's customary to do this, but my tortilla was cold. My chicken was somehow only warm even though I was one of the two people that were there at the time that I ordered. And on top of all that the whole wrap was falling apart. So all in all I'm pretty disappointed with my visit, I hope the next time I try them the food quality is a little better.
