Bidrage med feedbackI'm often on the road most the time during work, and nothing quicker and more relaxing than this maccas in Springwood. Opposite to Bunnings Kingston Rd, it's a busy area any day of the week. Very nicely furnished and set-out different to most mcdonalds. The quality and service is great all for the same price (obviously) but at least it feels more like a restaurant. Very clean and trendy with friendly staff.
I really like the concept of this place! I read about the Hong Kong one so really curious. My family grew up eating Maccas almost weekly so we were all excited to try out this concept store. On the outside, there's no big McDonald's lettering, just the logo. So the building immediately looks different to other branches. When you go in, it's like a little foyer of electronic booths and often there's staff welcoming you from their station. The idea is to order from these, rather than the counter of which there is only one. I like using the screens though some friends find it longer / harder to navigate if they know exactly what they want already. The tables and everything look different too. The front counter displays ingredients, there's little stools to sit. There's places to charge electronic devices on some tables. There's a self serve sauce bar with some different sauces like aioli. There's a tap for table water. There's menus on clipboards for some of their menu items unique to this branch. One section of seating has screens on the booth to order at the table! We also noticed the hand dryers on the taps in the bathrooms. I've tried the berry waffle, the cafe style corn fritters...all not bad. The waffle was too sweet for my taste unfortunately. Not particularly amazing but I appreciate how they've really tried to cater for the cafe going culture. I love how they bring the food to your table. It's nice to try the unique items not at normal branches. The staff have nicer uniforms. When I came in its early stages, they saw I had a pram and got a high chair right away. They even provided colouring for my toddler though that hasn't happened again after a few months down the track. The play area is interesting...it's all red. Looks trendy but can feel a little too much. Unfortunately there's not much in there for kids under 3...whereas the other branches usually have some aspect that they find interesting. This one has a lot of climbing and heights. Not sure what to do with energetic toddlers here. I've brought a lot of people here who've enjoyed that bit of novelty. It's also nice to come back as it's a place with adequate pram space, parents room and a nice interior. Come here and check it out instagram.com
