Bidrage med feedbackThis is a new restaurant at Sunnybank Plaza. It looks clean and bright from the front entrance, and same inside. So the ambience and eating environs were thumbs up. We ordered 2 yum cha dishes - good, but not memorable. We had a Wagyu Beef and Mushroom Noodle (non-spicy chicken broth)... and although it tasted OK, I must add this comment, which may be 'normal' in most Asian food connoisseurs... this dish was FULL of MSG. i developed an MSG head-ache/response with-in 10 minutes of consuming it (that's a record for me, and I've eaten a lot of Asian dishes from many Asian restaurants!) So if you're MSG intolerant - and are here for what ever reason, at least avoid the 'soup-broth' dishes.
We went to watch the late session of "Life" screening at Hoyts, Sunnybank Plaza. The movie finished close to midnight and both my friend and I were feeling peckish. Golden Lane is 40 metres from the Hoyts entrance and so convenient. As we walked in we were greeted by a friendly but tired looking waitress who showed us to our table. Oolong tea and the menus were provided within minutes of us sitting down. Scanning through their late night menu there was a small selection of dim sum but quite a large selection of congee dishes, fried noodle dishes and fried rice dishes. For the bigger appetites there were a dozen meat and seafood stir fries. The waitress had finished her shift so the Manager took our order of Dry-fried flat rice noodles with beef and Singapore noodles. We continued chatting about the movie and sipping on the hot fragrant dark tea. Our noodle dishes were served within 20 minutes. The beef noodles looked impressive and I was pleasantly surprised the chef used oil sparingly in frying it up. Unfortunately, the seasoning was lacking which let down this beautifully presented dish. Rating: 3.5/5.0 The Singapore noodles did not present as well but it was perfectly fried and the seasoning was spot on. The best Singapore noodles I've had in years. Rating 4.5/5.0 Kudos to the friendly Manager who took time out to chat with us despite it being almost 1am. He apologised for the limited supper menu and told us that the lunch and dinner menus were larger and much more impressive. Thank you Golden Lane.

Came here for first time with the in laws. It's fairly busy 1130 on a weekend but thinned out considerably by 1pm. Everyone quite liked this place. The interior was contemporary and fresh, everything looked clean. Would be nice for weddings as they suggest with nice photography on the big screen. Busy but available staff. We mainly ordered dim sum but they have other more northern style dishes too. Pretty happy with the food. There is a bit of a wait, we waited about 20 mins before being seated. It's usual for a weekend. High chairs available. Toilets inside too. instagram.com
Come here every Saturday with family for Dim Sum since the first time we've tried it we stopped going to Landmark for yum cha. One of my favorite all time order is probably the custard buns????, since they made it slightly salty instead of just pure custards. The dim sum were all freshly made and definitely prefer this place for yum Cha now as the quality of the yum Cha at Landmark has went down over the past years
