The Royal Oak Inn - Llandovery

I made a reservation for lunch with my mother while we were out and about. We ended up having lunch in the bar area because we had our dog with us. The pub was bustling, so there was a bit of a wait to be seated, but it was definitely worth it. The fried fish dinner was piping hot and accompanied by fresh, tasty, and well-cooked sides. The dish was well presented, and the broccoli appetizer was delicious. The staff members were polite and attentive. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone. It did not disappoint. - Woman J. I have visited many country pubs in Wales, and while some were good and others were just okay, some were just terrible. There is always a bit of apprehension when trying out a new place, as the food advertised outside may not live up to expectations. However, The Royal Oaks in Rhandirmwyn had everything they promised on their sign and they exceeded all expectations! I have had plenty of experience on both sides of the bar and have enjoyed many Sunday dinners, but everything I had at The Royal Oaks was exceptional. The staff were not only knowledgeable about what they were selling, but they were passionate about making sure everything was perfect. The menu and bar at The Royal Oaks were not afraid to think outside the box, giving the experience a unique twist. Despite expecting higher prices, I found everything to be extremely reasonable. I wish more pubs would take a cue from this wonderful establishment, as they truly made my day. Thank you!
