Dandy Don's - Livingston

This place surprised us. Through the city we drove on maps for highly rated restaurants and Dandy Don's was one of the top rated locals. Tired of Franchise Fast Food, we took a chance and I'm glad we were. The burgers and frits are good, the service was friendly and our drinks were refilled for free. The bathroom was tight, but cleaner than a gas station. Friendly would be a good summary of our visit. My non-quite-2 year old son flirted with the cashier and she was kind and engaged with him. Other patrons came and held conversations with each other, the staff and we, who combined with the sports teams decor Dandy Don made an unforgettable stop for good food and southern hospitality.

Seriously, this place is a dive. We were a little skeptical to eat here, but people were in and out to pick up the orders we were there all the time. We ordered burgers and chicken fingers and they were great. It's also a little hard to find. If you see Husqvarna and Stihl signs... just turn into the parking lot to the right side of this building and it will be in the back.

Dandy Don has been here a long time. I eat there in the late 80s the Burger was excellent at the time and now excellent in 2020. Don't let the look fool you. If you're in Livingston Al, you have to eat there.

Simple food with great taste! Friendly staff and always a short waiting period. You can always order beforehand and pick up your order. Best burgers in town!
