Bidrage med feedbackIt seems a sin to say it but by far my favourite thing from Yo! Sushi is the chicken yakisoba, which is neither cold nor is it fish. I do enjoy the sushi available here too (the spicy tuna iso and the eel nigiri are very good) they just don't really match up to the quality of some of the hot dishes, for me anyway. Food aside this branch is positioned ideally for a break from a day of trawling around the shops of Liverpool One, providing a quick, but not rushed, dining experience somewhere between the on the fly, foil wrapped fajita y goodness of Barburitto just across the courtyard and the delicious but pricier food you might get at Yee Rah next door. I would avoid the bottomless miso soup it really isn't great. I couldn't manage to stomach another bowl even though refills were free, and it really is unusual for me to pass up free food.
I wouldn't say I'm a sushi addict but from time to time, I do enjoy having a different lunch from the usual stuff I eat. So, I decided to try Yo Sushi today. Having arrived at 11am, much to my morning hunger, I learnt that I needed to wait a further hour before they opened. Nevertheless, it was nice to watch the staff through the window preparing the food. Before today, I was a Yo Sushi virgin but now I'm pleased to say that I no longer am. Even though I spent about £10 on three dishes before I knew it, it was a new experience. My favourite out of the three dishes I chose had to be the Chicken Yakisoba noodles (a bit like chow mein). The sushi was good (nothing really different to what I could buy at the supermarket) and the deep fried octopus balls were a bit of a joke as it mainly consisted of a mash potato consistency and hardly any octopus. The plus side, is that you can top up on some of their drinks but one cup of Japanese green tea was enough for me! Yo Sushi has excellent standards and customer service was helpful and welcoming. The decor, background music and seating layout are impressive, enhancing the trendy Japanese theme. On the other hand, I would not go mad on the food and their prices.
10/10 would visit again! If you are looking for cheap sushi or for quick food, this isn 't necessarily the place. They have a wide range of sushi available at all time. While we were there when apparently they were short staffed , it didn 't seem like it at all. The staff is friendly and food is delicious.
Very friendly and helpful servers, but pretty awful food. We were served a burnt vegetable gyoza, a spicy tuna roll that looked absolutely nothing like the menu and tasted very bland, a fried fish cake that was quite disappointing and dry, and a spider roll that I couldn't stomach swallowing. The beef teriyaki and salmon sashimi were good but not great. Also extremely pricey. This was just really bad to be honest.
I have always been open to trying different types of food, but one cuisine I had never experienced until recently is sushi. After visiting Yo Sushi, I was happy that I decided to explore this new culinary world. Sitting around a conveyor belt of food was a unique experience for me, but it added to my overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Living independently in Liverpool has pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, and dining at Yo Sushi was a significant step in my culinary journey. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of dishes available. What impressed me the most was the wide range of options, with over 90 dishes to choose from as they passed by on the conveyor belt. Overall, Yo Sushi is a unique and impressive place that has made me a fan of sushi.
