Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped in strings restaurant on the recommendation from a friend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pizza was delicious. While waiting for our pizza to cook, we looked over the menu and found many other items we can't wait to try on our next visit.
I was craving something Italian and this place popped up for me in DoorDash. What I liked about this place was the option to build your own tortellini pasta dish. You can choose whether to have cheese/meat, your sauce, and any type of protein you would like to add. It also came with a side salad or soup, and some focaccia bread. What I ordered was the cheese stuffed tortellini with Alfredo sauce and added grilled chicken to my dish. I got the side salad with balsamic/oil and added root beer to complete my meal. Overall, not bad for what I got. The pasta was creamy and delicious and the cheese was not clumped inside the shells. The grilled chicken was alright. My only complaint, and it's unfortunately a big one, was that it was too salty for my taste. When I bit into the chicken, I was overwhelmed with salt. I can usually handle a lot of salt, but that was a bit too much for me. The salad was nice to lighten the carb heavy meal, and the bread was really good to dip into the Alfredo sauce. Overall, not a bad place for Italian food. Maybe next time no chicken for me if it's that salty
I was truly truly impressed with the speed and service of the takeout here. The guy prepping takeout had so much hustle, and had my to go order ready in less time than the online ordering projected, even when I ordered two separate orders because I had forgotten something. It's an incredibly well run shop, with great front and back communication that allows them to work so fast. First, my tiramisu it was excellent. It was already prepped and ready for a last minute add to my order. My ceaser salad was perfectly fine. But the minestrone soup wasn't minestrone. It was a cabbage, zucchini, broth veggie soup that reminded me of the cabbage soup diet recipe. Although I slurped it all up because the broth was that good. The reality is, their food tastes no different than prepacked Italian food you buy in the grocery store frozen section which might explain how they had it ready so fast. My creamy tortellini with ham and mushrooms was yummy, and my meat sauce for my spaghetti was good and tasted like my favorite jarred sauce. But the meatballs were ultra salty and tasted like preservatives, as was my husband's chicken for his chicken parmesan. We couldn't say enough good things as we picked it up super quickly, and their combo was a great deal but once we ate everything, we decided we could make better Italian food ourselves at home. That said, if you are in a huge hurry or never cook yourself, then I do recommend these guys run a tight ship with great prices.
Beware of the prize inside.... We love this restaurant and go here all the time, but today we found a string of metal/metal shaving!! in the spaghetti. It was actually fairly sharp, so just be careful when eating and take a look at each bite to make sure you don't bite into metal like I did. Otherwise the restaurant has been great and we really do order all the time, though today this may have knocked off a couple of stars for us.
I love this place! I've been wating here for years and they never disappoint. Today, I had the Pasta Sienna and my hubby had the Stew Pescatore (e.g. cioppino)...and both were very delicious. The ambiance is awesome too, with (mostly) Dean Martin songs playing in the background. The bread and salad portions have decreased, but it makes sense as I've seen many people just waste it. I've come here to eat a full meal, or just have dessert and it's always good food and good service.
