Bidrage med feedbackOne of our favorite places to dine and I realized I haven't given a review, so here I go! I asked our waitress last night what the exact version of food is made here and her response was Southwestern Mediterranean authentic Mexican and let me tell you, it shines through with every dish!!! Bravo Posada, bravo!
Ahhh we wanted to really like this place as we both have been here before a few years ago and it was amazing...BUT quite a few issues...in a place like this I expect everything to be made. Chips for the ceviche were store bought and the ceviche itself was mediocre with minimal taste. Now we ordered the iron steak chimichurri and the rib eye...BOTH were like a soup! The rib eye was in a Pho type broth filling half the bowl/plate with jalapeños and raw red onions and it was so sour!!! I couldn 't even finish it and that was soooo very disappointing. The flat iron steak was very very tough and also sitting in soup soupy broth/sauce with black beans like a soup. Just really ruined the dinner. I 'm not ever sure who this is still on or even allowed to be on the menu...so hopefully they see this. Now the savior was Mauricio, our server who was kind and great but should have probably told us these were steak entrees in the entrees list. This was BS. Unfortunately for $250 I could have had a better meal at another establishment with much better food.
Dining here was a pleasant surprise, considering I wasn't looking for such an amazing restaurant after getting off work shortly before and looking for a quick dinner. My wife happened to be with me, as I had done a special event where I needed her help, so this was to be a special date. The restaurant is tucked away in the back of a busy shopping center on the South side of Livermore. We had some difficulty finding the entrance but once inside, we were shocked by the tasteful decoration and ambience this place offered. We were greeted and seated immediately by our very friendly server. The menu is simple and delightful, with a Southwestern Mexican flair. We started with the chips and salsa appetizer. The salsa was delicious, and the chips had the perfect texture and flavor. My wife ordered the sangritarita, which was a tasty blend of frozen margarita with sangria. She enjoyed her drink very much, and it was a welcome compliment to her dinner. I ordered the Chilean sea bass tacos and she ordered the chicken pozole. When the food arrived, it was tastefully presented and delicious. The watermelon salad added a nice touch to my tacos I love how they blended the melon with mango and added cotija cheese and tajin. My only recommendation would be to adjust the salad so it uses seasonal ingredients because the watermelon and mango were not as flavorful as the rest of the dish. The tacos were cooked nicely with fish that melted in my mouth and spices that gently danced on my palette. The tortillas were perfectly shaped and yummy. My wife's pozole had such richness in flavor with chicken breast that melted in your mouth. I know from experience how challenging it is to get chicken breast to the proper texture. For dessert we shared churros with a delicious yellow custard with whipped cream and a decadent melted Ghirardelli chocolate sauce. They were the perfect way to end such an unexpectedly romantic dining experience. I learned that this restaurant began as a food truck almost a decade ago before they moved into the existing space where they have been for the past eight years. How did I not know about this place until now? They also have a rewards email you can sign up for to earn points for free perks. Overall, I would recommend going out of your way to eat here. It is an unforgettable experience that will leave you craving more.
Delish! Amazing food and service. Definitely will be back. I had the watermelon salad, guac and blackened shrimp, and enchiladas. So tasty!
We came here for my birthday and it was sooo good! First my husband made reservations and the menu had Happy Birthday written for me! We got to sit outside on a nice evening which was very comfortable. I had the casuelita drink and they put a candle in it I for me to blow out, that was a nice touch. We had the guacamole and Shrimp and it was so good I'd go back just for that. They gave me a free dessert for my birthday and that made it all the more special. This place is a hidden gem and a must try.
