Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant is out of operation and this is the second time in 4 months that my reservation was moaning because they were unexpectedly closed.
Disappoint. halfway through a series of tempo, I am in a piece with un fenced teig in the middle. he asked the waiter who realized it wasn't right. offer to make a new order of tempoura for us (how much can they eat? but we ordered a sashimi. happy to pay for the sashimi, but the tempoura was still on the bill. If asked, the waiter explained as they had eaten the half of the order, we calculate them for the order. I said I wouldn't bite into a piece of raw dough until we were halfway through the job. it was not satisfactory and we should not have been accused. the nigger himself was not particularly good, which alone would be a reason not to return. but decent customer service is the lower line, and the understanding if a customer is unhappy with an order should be sufficient reason to withdraw the order from the bill.
No idea where these great reviews come from. nothing special about food in the did sub-par. the restaurant was cold. and even after complaining, no change.
While we family to visit home in livermore, we wanted to have some Japanese food. I noticed matsuyama kenji on yelp and opentable had good reviews, so we decided to go. the restaurant is modern and clean. I had the chef special sashimi (see picture), my wife had tonkatsu ramen, and my brother had different sushi roles. we also had age dashi tofu as an appetizer. everything was delicious, fresh and well presented. the age dashi tofu had a beautiful light coating, not greasy, with a tasteful broth very simple and well made. the fish was very fresh, with an excellent sortiment over the typical tuna, salmon, etc. the tonkatsu broth had an excellent taste depth; the sushi rolls were also excellent. my brother enjoyed it so much that he and his wife came back to dinner in the next night.
Sushi was very fresh and the sushi chef spent time making the sushi! Will definitely be back when we are visiting Livermore.
