The Lake House Kitchen Tavern

The place is nice... what has been done to the deck and the interior is very cool. The restaurants that occupied the building before were also nice but it is even better now. The concept is exceptional... perfect for an afternoon on the patio. The fish and shrimp were cooked well and the crab salad was great. Portions are decent and the service is prompt.

I also wanted to add that we waited at the bar for about 30 m to be seated by the lake….Food was terrible, Server sucked probably the worse server I’ve ever had, patio steating sucked we got seated against the building and couldn’t even see the lake, we were seated by a family with a child that kept throwing toys into our table area, my sandwich was so bad I couldn’t finish it the bread was falling apart while eating the sandwich. Didn’t want to stay for dessert

This place was ok. Upon arrival, we wanted to sit on the patio, but the choices for tables were not great. We asked if we could sit on the lower deck. The hostess said they weren 't seating there. So we chose a subpar table in the sun which was less desirable. Not even 5 minutes later, the hostess sat a table on the lower patio, where we would have much preferred to sit. Service was very slow. It took a good 15 minutes to see a server at our table. We thought maybe they were busy and didn 't sweat it. Finally got water and our order in. Food took forever! The waitress came over and apologized for the food taking so long. She even said, I don 't know why the food is taking so long. We aren 't even busy. So if you are looking to spend about $100 (no alcohol, no desserts) for 2 people for a mediocre dining experience, this place is for you. UPDATE Even though our first experience wasn 't perfect, I would like to say that I was impressed with the response from this company. They truly care about customers, which is rare. Based on that fact alone. I would give this place another chance. Exceptional customer service and really caring about customers is rare these days.

I will never not want to go to the lake house.Scratch kitchen. Every sauce is incredible, which is the mark of a good chef. The BBQ sauce on the summer menu is surprising and light and incredible.Breezy, beautiful patio. Attentive service. Delightful atmosphere. Any rough day can be fixed by just spending an hour here.

The staff are so nice here and with a full restaurant, the food still comes out quick. I really enjoy the walleye sandwich with sweet potato fries. A good size sandwich not too heavy on the tartar sauce. Nice portion or fries.If you sit on the patio, you can enjoy the lake.
