Poundcake Bakery - Lisle

Wonderful bakery! Very accommodating! Called ahead and they were just putting a Key lime pie in the oven and had it ready when I put in online the time I was going to pick it up! Last minute order and they were wonderful making sure it was done on time! The pie was very delicious! My husband loved it for his birthday! Thank you for your help!!!

Love this bakery!! Their pound cake is the best!! I have used them for my client appreciation just before Thanksgiving. The loafs of pound cake are delicious as well as the platters to serve. My clients love getting them as gifts. Highly recommend for yourself or to share with others!!

The Lemon Blueberry, pumpkin and chocolate hazelnut pound cakes are all delicious! I served them at a family gathering and everyone loved them! Everyone is super nice and helpful! Would definitely recommend and will be getting more pound cakes in the future!

Tried the old fashioned, it was dry and tasteless. Very surprised that it contained margarine instead of butter! At the price point, it should have butter and premium ingredients.

This is another place in the local area that the food is good but service is mediocre. The reviews on Yelp explain more during the days of Covid in 2020 where food places were still enforcing masks yet this place did not. Also, both times I tried to call in an order in advance in regards to seeing their online specials they we’re screwed up. First being, Mothers Day in 2020 when my days of seeing my parents were limited as it was. I asked my mom what she wanted to pick up among the specials that were particularly for Mother’s Day. I called in my order and when I got there …. No Order! Though, they “remember” my order and kind of knew they somehow “lost” it but apparently lost it entirely because I wasn’t informed in advance. I was upset and annoyed. They made it up by giving me a few things they had on hand for free so I showed up with those as a constellation prize. I tried again for my office Christmas Party READING the special I saw online and the person I spoke with insisting they had nothing like that. I went with a few things just to get it out of the way because I wanted to get things done in advance and pre-ordered. My suggestion is to NOT deal with this place for pre-orders and specials after two strikes, I don’t want a third. Wander in for their pound cake though because it IS good which makes up for this wacky service otherwise. I’ve since used DeEttas in Naperville for anything I pre-order and never had an issue.
