The wine was served at room temperature at first (1st red flag . Then the bottle was at least cooled. The waitress had literally no idea about wine, despite having a lot of wines in the menu (2nd red flag . I found my wine myself by 'googling '. The Starters were okay-ish, the soup was just like a day old and heated in the microwave (nice dried soup edge on the dishes (3rd red flag . The mains were served without any question beside the startes were half finished! (Big, big red flag Nr.4... so we had a mains getting cold why we tried to eat the starters from the overfilled table. The mains were a super love-less decorated bowl with some greens and pre cooked and everything thrown together without sauce, nuts or anything really fresh made. The seitan steak was burned slightly, cooked too much and therefore hard on the outside and chewy on the inside. The coleslaw was completely frozen, like really frozen with visible pieces of ice in it and the fries were just generic sweet potatoe Fries from the supermarket, also like only prewarmed at the oven... The pepper Sauce was not selfmade as well. Having a Review about the frozen coleslaw with the waitress resulted in a free dessert, which was 100% microwave chocolate Cake with convinient raspberry sauce.. (oh I did stop counting red flags, right? Don 't get me wrong, I unverstand using ready 2 eat fries and not making ur own, but when then the salad is frozen, the starters is bad, the wine is warm at first, and the mains comes during starters... I rate 2/5 because of the visible embarassment and at least nice try of the waitress, but she very very very surely is not to blame. Its the owner with its extremely bad quality choices with staff and food.
Upon venturing to Green Affair on Av Duque Dávila, one is immediately struck by its aesthetically pleasing organisation. The tables' layout is rather more industrial than one might anticipate for a venue that dabbles in greenery and nature, but such incongruity is soon forgotten once you experience their culinary offerings. We commenced our meal with vegetarian tacos, stuffed generously with mushrooms and topped with finely chopped onions—a touch of the accompanying lime is a delightful enhancement. Our main course consisted of Saitan accompanied by sweet orange potato fries and a salad. We ordered an extra side of miso mayonnaise, a choice that turned out to be the crowning glory of the evening. This mayonnaise was truly extraordinary, pairing even more harmoniously with the potatoes than the other components on the plate. Although the dish was commendable, it lacked cohesiveness, saved, in part, by the exquisite mayonnaise we had fortuitously ordered for our starter. Dessert was the pièce de résistance: a creamy chocolate cake flirting with the concept of pétit gateau, yet without a refined crust, served with an incredible coconut chantilly. To accompany our meal, we opted for Estrella Damm, always a fine choice of beer. In terms of value, there was nothing particularly remarkable to note. The Green Affair provides an experience that is as balanced as it is delightful, albeit with a few unexpected twists. The culinary finesse, especially the extraordinary mayonnaise, more than compensates for any inconsistencies in theme or decor. It's a destination for those seeking to indulge in something just a touch unconventional.
Really great food and service, the space is nice. I’m picky with music—I would’ve preferred a different playlist but that’s a personal preference!
The food was served cold and not really that tasty. The service was great though and, although the restaurant was noisy it was possible to have a conversation.
Croquetes de espinafres incríveis e pratos super bons. Recomendo!
