The Fam Kitchen - Lisboa

So friendly and helpful and patient with our two year old, and the food was amazing! My husband said it’s definitely the best meal we’ve had since a Michelin-starred restaurant for my birthday a month ago. They have a kids portion of pasta, but my kiddo just ate fries. I enjoyed the quinoa salad and goat cheese, partner really enjoyed shrimp and coconut sauce. We shared red sangria which was great. The dessert case was tempting— husband and kiddo shared like cheesecake which was amazingly light (I had just one bite. Definitely recommend to anyone, and especially families and even just for dessert if that’s your jam.

The food is so good. We ordered black pasta and coconut rice. They are beyond our expectation. The time we go is not busy so it is quite and perfect for us. The only drawback is cash only and no visa or Mastercard. However the atm is just 10 meters away, so it is basically fine but we have to pay abroad withdraw fees

I would be careful when ordering here if you don’t speak the language. I ordered off the fish section, the bacalhau a bras…not expecting any meat since it’s not listed (the English menu doesn’t say there is meat in this dish). It came out with a large piece of bacon and bacon bits on it. Not cool since I don’t eat pork for religious reasons. Since it’s a family owned place and I wasn’t sure if I made the mistake bc of language barrier and because I didn’t want to waste the food, I didn’t say anything. I removed everything that was touching the bacon and ate around. I should have said something because it really ruined the dish and experience for me. Honestly it felt gross. Assuming it’s okay to add meat especially bacon (or anything not listed explicitly on the menu for the item) to a customers is really not okay given religious and other dietary restrictions are very common. Reminder to everyone to take extra precautions with your food when you’re traveling to a place with a different food culture and language that you don’t know.

Recebemos um serviço incrível e amigável da nossa garçonete. A comida era incrível! Tanto que voltamos para uma segunda noite para experimentar outros pratos que também estavam ótimos. Eu recomendo este restaurante. Sobremesas caseiras como doce de leite definitivamente valem a pena.
