Bidrage med feedbackA spectacular location, fresh fish well displayed and an average quality of preparation and cooking, found elsewhere, do not justify the crazy prices of this place, to be calculated from time to time on the cost of the catch. A few examples: tuna, swordfish and squid €65/kg, astice-lobster €160/kg, aragosta-lobster €180/kg. The tuna tartare stands out and is excellent but it remains annoying how our waiter tried to sell us more shellfish than necessary to make spaghetti with aragosta-lobster, claiming that 3 kg of lobster were needed for four people, i.e. 180€x3 540€, which results in 135 € for a plate of spaghetti. An insult to misery.
Went to Stromboli and we choose to eat at the king of fish. Food was amazing and super fresh. It was super amazing.
The service refused everything: the sitting part we wished to sit, No explaining of the menue. Everything we ordered was not available: No Tuna Tartare although the Tuna was lying in the showcase. Several wines we ordered were not available. We could get Tomato Spagetti for the children only after long discussions. What the children got was Spagetti made with Ketchup for 20,-Euro. The rest of us ordered one fish dish each, that was good.
I believe no food quality can justify an absolutely disgusting and very aggressive behavior of the restaurant personnel. We had dinner and then when we went to pay, there was some misunderstanding. The owner got really worked up and aggressive, started shouting at my friend, threatening him, and then several people from personnel surrounded him ! and blocked him and then one guy from personnel hit him in his face! In the middle of a restaurant. Seriously?! Is this how civilized and respectful people, not mentioning restaurant owners and personnel, should resolve a misunderstanding in our days?! We had to call the police to sort this out. I saw my friend being humiliated in front of restaurant customers and our friends. This is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. No desire to even go back to the island after this, not mentioning this restaurant.
Pur avendo mangiato un ottimo primo piatto, scelto tra i pochi elencati a voce, senza presentare il menu, trovo che il conto salato finale sia molto gonfiato
