Surf House Island Cantina

Service lacked the chips, guacamole crab dip were 'ok '. The place was cute. Not real big inside. Loved the outdoors area, but they couldn 't accommodate our group of 5 outdoors.

Family of 4, so we hit all parts of the menu, we sat outside. It was a beautiful day and the food and service were absolutely fantastic.

Very strong drinks. If you’re into that : I had the fish and shrimp tacos. I really liked the shrimp and lobster tacos. The mahi mahi was OK. The fries are good. We went on a weekend. It was very busy. It took a very long time for us to get our food and even to be greeted. We had the key lime pie for dessert. It was not very flavorful. It was just… Was there.

So I have been here a few times and can’t say that I’ve liked anything I have eaten so far. Fried oyster sandwich, burger, mahi mahi sandwich, french fries etc. all to me lack flavor and seasoning. Obviously I am not a chef or a restaurateur but I do not see the connection in the name, decor and the menu. Making a good french fry or not tells me a lot about how much restaurants pay to the details. As others have said the prices are a bit high for the area which I would not mind if the quality was higher. In the end my review is not a do not go, by all means go and form your own opinion. I also hope the owners read this and truly evaluate the taste, presentation and price of the dishes.On another note, the staff are very friendly, I have always had good service, and nice decor.

This place can't be beat if you love seafood. And the service is so positive. We will be back soon!
