Bidrage med feedbackWent on a Saturday night with friends a table of 6. Were seated upstairs at a nice corner table and the place was packed. Lots of French bunting about so all good. Waitress Sophie was excellent, knowledgeable and supported our table very well. A small but interesting selection of dishes each course with set price for 2 or 3 courses (we all went 3). A special was on for each course if you wanted. The problem was almost every dish cam luke warm at best, pushing cold. Even the Seafood Bisque which 3 people had was cold. Not sure what the problem was getting food to the table but there is a problem somewhere o the pass. It is a shame because the rest of the elements were there to be really good. Maybe we went on a night there was a problem in delivery.
Recently celebrated an 80th birthday lunch with a group of friends in the upstairs room. The table arrangement was a bit odd when we arrived but the staff quickly organised it to suit us. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Highly recommended
This restaurant always delivers great food, great service and a very pleasant dining experience. We used to frequent Cade Lyon often but now travel from the Northern beaches since moving from Wahroonga. This is still one of our favourites and we love the menu, particularly the consistency of the excellent food and the option to BYO during the week. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant that consistently delivers such magnificent food. Thank you Chef for your great establishment! We love dining at Cafe Lyon
Having read the reviews we were looking forward to wonderful French cuisine. We were disappointed as we thought the food was more average Modern Australian than French. Lovely decor although some tables are very close the waiter kept backing into us while waiting on another table. Service was slow but they were busy. Overall it was quite expensive for nicely presented but average food.
Cafe Lyon is without doubt one of our favourite restaurants in Sydney. The food delightfully exudes the best of French cuisine. There is a bustling atmosphere and attentive, friendly service. We’d recommend the trout entrée and either the salmon or duck mains. The soufflé is a great way to finish if you enjoy something sweet.
