Bidrage med feedbackWe love eating here! My kids love the momos so much. Dil is always so nice and prompt if I order to-go. Never had a bad experience! We ended up needing to stay in the hotel during a storm when our son was young, and they were very hospitable and able to get us a room, even though it was late at night by the time we arrived. We live locally, but had been without power and water for several days, so it was really nice to have a warm shower and a safe place to rest our head with little ones.
No-nonsense eatery, but serving wonderful Himalayan food.
We stayed at the Post Rock Motel, and we heard great things about the restaurant, so we had to give it a try! My daughter and I ordered the fried rice with veggies. You can get it with just veggies, or you can add pork or chicken. The menu also said shrimp was available, but when I asked about getting it, I was told they were out of shrimp. Nonetheless, the fried rice was out of this world! It came with a spicy sweet sauce to drizzle over it, and it added a delicious spice to it. We had also wanted to get some frozen yogurt, but that was also out.The lady that cooked our food was also the person that checked us into the hotel. She is very sweet and a fantastic cook! The restaurant is a small space without much fanfare, and drinks will be from the refrigerated case. The menu doesn't seem expansive, but what they cook seems to be good. I heard people in Lincoln say that the chicken curry is fantastic. Give the restaurant a try if you are in town!Vegetarian options: There are not a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu, but you can get the fried rice with veggies, and she even asked if we wanted egg or no egg, so I think it could even be vegan if needed.
I've eaten here quite a few times. Most recently on the 28th. The price has been reduced from what it previously was, it's still an amazing amount of food for a great price. Be expecting to take home leftovers to eat when you get home. Unless you have a monstrous appetite like I do that is..
What a hidden gem! Kind of doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside, and parking is not very well defined, but.... the food and service are top shelf. The menu says Himalayan food, I found it to be very similar to Indian food. The chicken curry was so tasty, and the spices were spot on. If you are in Lincoln and hungry, this place is worth trying.
