Sign in window adds and steakhouse . No steaks on VERT LIMITED MENU. A disappointment. Ordered short ribs and portion was very short.
Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen but our experience was sub par at best when it came to the food. There were only 4 tables with patrons when we arrived so the kitchen was not overwhelmed. We ordered burger sliders for our son grilled chicken sliders came out. They made the change, but the burgers then came out completely burnt. We specified noodles and butter only for our daughter no cheese came out with an abundant amount of cheese sprinkled on top. They made the change but then the noodles tasted like burnt butter. The pulled pork mac and cheese was ok, but no nearly not enough cheese. Do not order the burrito unless you only want a meat burrito with no other filling. We spent nearly $120 on food for four (not including tip) and we all left the restaurant still hungry. Wait staff was accommodating, but I would not recommend the food at this restaurant and would not eat there again when in Lincoln.
The service was great! We had a pretty view table overlooking the water. The food... I ordered the pork w sweet chili sauce. Now, it was very good, but I can't tolerate spicy. My husband and I traded meal as he didn't like what he ordered which was the three pot pies. Well, ugh. None of the pot pies were tasty. I could barely eat the shepherds pie one and the other two were disgusting. You know, I'll eat just about anything but I couldn't. Cute idea but the recipes used frozen green beans and premade nacho cheese in one. The shepherd pie was edible but not very good. Find another recipe. The 3rd one, don't even remember what it was, but totally inedible. I really don't leave bad reviews. Maybe it's a local thing with the flavors.. I dunno. It's a pleasant restaurant. Oh, my husbands old fashioned was not good. I had water that was refreshing.
I vacation every year in Lincoln NH. Decided to try a new place to eat called the White Mountain Tavern. They are located at the Woodward’s Inn are open 3-9 every day which is very convenient. A lot of restaurants in the area are closed on various days of the week. I enjoyed my experience there largely because of my server Melissa who was wonderful. She went out of her way to customize a drink order for me made it just the way I like it. Also they don’t have side orders of onion rings. They are only served with certain dishes. I read some other reviews that they are hand breaded very good so I asked Melissa if I could substitute them instead of French fries. She said she would try as they usually don’t do that. Because they weren’t busy she was able to do this for me. They were delicious. Fried to perfection not greasy at all. Maybe the chef should consider adding them as a side order to the menu. They were out of the pork belly sliders so Melissa recommended the fried fish which I got instead. It was so good also hand breaded. The fish was moist on the inside fried golden brown on the outside. Delicious. I definitely will be coming back again when I visit the area. Not only for the yummy food but also for the great customer service. Thanks Melissa!
