Pardos Chicken Benavides - Lima

Great step up from street food. Despite the name we both had streaks and Cesar salads and couldn't have been happier. Charming atmosphere inside and out and friendly service.

Pardos on Av Benavides in Miraflores is always consistently good. The service is fast and friendly. The place is always clean and hygenic. The menu has a good variety and they have added several new food and drink options over the last year. I think they might have changed their french fries recently and although the new ones are still good, they aren't as good as what they had before. The food always come hot and fresh and well prepared. They even do a good job on their salads.

Economical option, though fills quickly and there are often large numbers of children at birthday parties held there, even late at night. The food is good though predictable.

Pardos chicken is delicious. Always. Every single time, no matter where in Perú. The limonada and chicha frozen are also delicious. At this location, Eugenio was our waiter. He's such an obviously hard worker despite being at retirement age. He also recognized us the 2nd time even though I'm sure he sees hundreds of people every day. He was so appreciative of the tip I left him both times we were here. As much as I'd love to talk to him again, I hope he can retire by the next time I'm in Miraflores, and I let him know that when we left. Tl;dr ‐ the chicken and drinks are delicious, and Eugenio is a great waiter. Leave him a nice tip.
