Bidrage med feedbackFood was ok but heavily overpriced for what it is, just because it's located in the fancy San Isidro area. There was zero vibe at 8pm Saturday. Also, we were after very specific dishes and it was not possible to get hold of their menu beforehand. We even physically went to the restaurant on Saturday morning but there isn't a menu displayed outside. Not online, not on google maps, nowhere. In this day and age, at this price point, that's unacceptable.
Excellent food, very well thought out menu, helpful and efficient staff, comfortable and elegant setting. Near the heart of San Isidro (nearer the golf course than the central financial district). I’ve been here a few times and it’s always great.
I’ve been here twice, and I can honestly say food es good. However I don’t feel it is the best sushi in town. For me, it kinda offers a “during the work week” dinner...where food is good but you are not looking for a whole experience because you are tired. The restaurant is not fun, but good for having a conversation and it is quite nice. I would recommend sitting in the first floor...the second one is literally if you want to fall as sleep.
The Japanese menu is not very extensive but what they do offer is great, especially the sushi and sashimi. They have Peruvian dishes too. Very elegant setting and good service.
Hanzo is located on the very traditional San Isidro district. The restaurant is very well located and has its own parking. Fish and sea food are the “piece de resistance” of the menu. There are traditional Japanese dishes: sushi, sashimi, rolls and tempura. The most interesting part of the menu is the “Nikei” cuisine which is a blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. This year we are celebrating 120 years of the Japanese immigration to Peru and it’s always a pleasure to taste some of the dishes that the blend of both cuisines has to offer.
