Au Bureau - Lille

8 of us were on a Christmas Market weekend from the UK and had an overnight stop nearby and googled restaurants. We didn't book which was a bit stupid but they found us a table after a short wait. The food was very good gastro pub level and we all enjoyed our meals.

Incredible what happened this afternoon! My iPhone was stolen by one of the staff members of the restaurant!! “Find my iPhone” revealed that my iPhone was still present in the restaurant. Despite my efforts in retrieving the device, the iPhone was nowhere to be found. After 2 hours, once threats were made to involve the police, a waitress suddenly suggested to check the waste container outside at the back of the restaurant... My husband sent a search sound to the iPhone through my iPad at home, indicating that my mobile effectively was dropped in a garbage bag in a green container 20 meters away from the restaurant! Unbelievable !! Based on the body language of one of the waitresses I could clearly see that she was guilty! So remember when you would like to visit “au bureau” in Lille that your belongings are not safe! Shocked!

We came here two years ago and had a lovely evening meal with friends so decided to pop in for lunch on our latest trip to France. The food was lovely and very filling. Lots to choose from and only waited about half an hour which was good considering it was busy.

Came here for a quick lunch with colleagues. Service was friendly and quick. It was later in the lunchtime. The smell was good as we entered also. Menu descriptions were accurate. The photographs on the menu make the portion size look smaller. The dishes delivered were big. Very tasty and very filling. The food was fresh. No complaints at all and I will be happy to come back.
