Bidrage med feedbackFor starters, they didn't include even 1 fortune cookie. I ordered a chicken on a stick appetizer which was delicious. And the honey chicken which was very good. My mom ordered the beef and broccoli and she said it was perfect! Perfect ratio of beef to broccoli and great amount of sauce. I'm just a little stumped on why no fortune cookies were included.
This is an unsuspecting little joint that hit it out of the park. Gen Tsos, egg rolls, rice, Mongolian all good. Mongolian was good and spicy, fresh green peppers and onions, the Tsos was the right consistency of crispy and well sauced. We were pleasantly surprised and will be back.
First time ordering food from Tasty China. We usually go to Salisbury because it's closer. Not anymore. We got General Tso chicken combination meal. It was really good. I have been missing out I thought Chinese food was dried out chicken with lots of sauce to get it down. The chicken fell apart when using a fork it was so tender. The rice was soft and you could see it was moist. Not hard and under cooked or day old rice. Everything was fresh and delicious. I only wish they provided extra sauce and put onions in their rice. We will be driving to Lexington more often.
I wouldn't venture a guess how long it's been since the restaurant got some love, but it's been awhile. While we were there, we witnessed a steady stream of folks getting take out. It may be because they already knew the dining room was a bit sketch. The food was plentiful but my chicken fried rice was devoid of salt. My wife got hot and sour soup and said it wasn't like she's had elsewhere and was gritty at the bottom. I have experienced far better Asian restaurants here in Lexington but they fill a nitch for folks willing to settle.
Good flavor good quantity and very comparable prices. The Egg foo young is great and so is the house special mei fun is our favorite. The atmosphere is because it seems more of a take out joint but they do offer dine in.
