Southern Barrel - Lexington

Ella Miller is the best cook we have ever had. We traveled 7 1/2 hours to visit our ancestors homeland in Lexington MS and fell in love with this place. The food was plentiful, tasty, fast and filling. All the sides were unbelievably delicious. The fried green potatoes, fried corn and candied yams were to die for. Parking was convenient and accessibility was met for my 85 year old mom. Ella went above and beyond and even walked us to our vehicle afterwards. If you live within 8 hours you should plan a trip to the Southern Barrel restaurant in Lexington, MS. We will be back. We Love you Ella Miller!!!

So we found ourself off the beaten path to find food. This place is a hidden gem. The food was great, everything from scratch nothing out of a can. The portions were large. If we ever travel back this way we would definitely stop by.

You sure can tell when someone has a heart for cooking. Not only will it show but the taste is there also. My family I enjoy the food as well as the woman who cooks this wonderful food. A home cooked meal away from home is always good. Don 't just take my word Go for it .
