The best food ever! the most tender meat I've ever eaten. recommend it to the city sampler! pulled from the city here and this is the best place still!

The food was very good. The sampler plate feeds 2 with no issue. Meats were tender. The bottles of Nehi soda was a real treat. Service is counter type. Got a side of stew and it was a large helping enough to have as your meal.

Good food but 4th time we have eat here and the staff is nothing nice they are just plain and simple rude to where we seen another customer having the same experience and we asked them if they were paying for the politeness plain and simple need to work on people skills for the price they charge if you like bbq it is good but the rest is horrible

1st let me say we have enjoyed City BBQ for many years. Today we stopped in for a meal and they weren’t crowded. We ordered our food and went to grab a table. Of the 25/30 empty tables none, I repeat none of them were cleaned up and ready for customers to eat on. I’m not sure if a big party left or what but the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day! Tables with crumbs and scraps on them. The leafs in the table had food particles in the cracks in every table. Food particles and French fries on the floor. Shoe/boot tracks everywhere I mean it was a mess!! It looked like it hadn’t been mopped in a week. I asked the manager if we could get a table cleaned up and he graciously came and cleaned one and wiped several others and I am grateful. The food was good. We will be back. But if it’s this dirty next time I’ll scratch my head on visits after that. My question would be if the dining area is this bad what does the kitchen area look like and would we want to be eating from there. I have it two stars only because the food was good!!

We ordered a meal pack called The Motherlode that the website promised would feed 6 Yeah, not quite. The sides we got were in small, individual cups that could not be shared. And there didn't appear to be as much meat as the description suggested. I actually called the restaurant to make sure that some error had not been made, and I was told, no, that's it. The feeds 6 means that 6 people can have a bit of each of the meats, and a side. For the $100 we paid, counting a couple of extras we ordered, it was extremely disappointing and definitely vastly overpriced. The meat, as well, was underwhelming. It was dry, and somewhat bland. The extra BBQ sauce promised was not delivered either. I would look elsewhere for BBQ. You're going to find much better stuff at much better prices elsewhere.
