Atzimba Mexican - Lexington

When you go to Lexington, the first Mexican restaurant you'll probably see is Los Portales. Most of the time, but I would definitely say people go to Atzimba instead of going to Los Phone. The selection in the menu is crazy. You have everything you might think. Last time I went, I got a shrimp dish served on a flaming plate. I wasn't sure what that meant when reading the menu, so I asked. I was told that it was a flaming plate that didn't tell me much more than the menu. So I decided to be adventurous and ordered it, and when it came out, fire was under my food. My mother's food was served on a pineapple. I think if you're down for an adventure, that could be your place. The waiting staff is friendly, constantly asking if you need something, and very polite. You don't seem to have problems with you asking things. The place is clean and amazing in its attention to detail. All chairs and tables have different scenes that remind Mexico that are raised in relief and painted with colourful lacquer. Although they are not expensive, they will certainly look. You feel like you're in a chic Mexican restaurant until you paid the bill. The prices are very reasonable, the food is excellent, and the service is wonderful. Remember hallo to the iguana!

Food and service is great. They only serve beer. Prices are good. $30 for two adults

Excellent food and service! They have the best tacos carnitas! Love those little crispy pieces of pork mixed in with the tender and juicy pieces. They are generous with the onions and cilantro. The beer is always cold and the mugs are frosty!

Just moved to Tennessee from Utah. We live about 15 mins from here and ventured out … long story short this was amazing! Guac was excellent. The manager was very friendly and attentive as well as the server. Fish tacos were excellent. By far the winner was the pitcher of margarita. Coming from Utah we were in heaven. Just the middle level of heaven , Teresital I think) I highly recommend

We had an excellent experience with quick service! The food was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to stay nearby on your travels. Our server, Carrie, was fabulous—friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The cleanliness of the restrooms also adds to the overall positive impression. Based on our experience, they definitely deserve 5 stars!
