City Noodles - Lewisham

I typically visit City Noodle after work on Fridays, but due to COVID, I have been ordering online instead. I must say, it is the best food in the area and all the staff I have interacted with have been polite and friendly. The service is excellent.

We placed an order for takeout at 6:30pm on Chinese New Year. However, by 9:30pm, our food still had not arrived. When I called to inquire about the status of our order, the staff member said they would check and then left me on hold for ten minutes without any further communication. I had no other option but to end the call. This was extremely rude and unacceptable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

City Noodles is one of the best Chinese restaurants we've ever found. I strongly recommend it. It is definitely essential to eat in place to enjoy excellent food and excellent friendly service. We have recommended this restaurant to many friends and family over the years that have never been disappointed.

I paid for an apple juice, but what came was a thick brown foam, and brown juice in a cup of polystyrene, disgusting and completely impossible to drink.Don't waste your money. It came through uber eats and it has been impossible to get a refund.I lost my money and City Noodles clearly don't care.I will never use Uber Eats again.

City Noodles was once an amazing place to eat, but in recent months the standard has gone downhill. The food is now insipid, fatty ribs. Thought you could do better at home. No flavor at all. I ordered a bass with black bean sauce that cost 12. 00. The sauce was fine, but once I got in, I realized that there were hard pieces in my mouth that I realized they were scales. I was in pain, so I ended up in the trash bin with the insipid noodles. I called the restaurant and the chef said that's how it comes from the supplier. I mentioned that the chef still has a duty to reduce the scale of the fish before cooking it and serving it to the customers. Then they told me if I didn't want the skin, I should have informed them. I mentioned that I wanted the skin but not with scales, which for me is obvious. The conversation circled around. They did not offer any compensation or refund of money, so we will not return. I've warned friends and family not to waste money and go somewhere else.
