Diaz Restaurant - Lethbridge

I'm sad to say that this little family eating is gone now! the restaurant business is a difficult business. despite the good food and home atmosphere, they had to close and move on to another company. a lot of luck as if you wanted to change!

We decided to give this restaurant a try based on positive reviews. The food was fresh and the establishment was clean. The service was excellent. Personally, I found the food to be average. I had higher expectations considering the reviews. Will we return? Probably, but only if we're not very hungry.

We were referred to this restaurant by a family member who had never heard of it. Now I know why. it was terrible! we must have caught it in a bad night completely because the reviews on travel advisers make sure it sounds good, but the food was absolutely tasteless. on a Friday night there was no one in the restaurant and there was much too much money for what you have. above all there was no taste Cuban food should be over taste, there was none. we will never go back here again. the only good one was the waitress.

Heard from a family member on facebook this was a great place to eat. so we thought we would try. on Friday night at 15.00 clock was no one there, except the waitress. it should have been our first note and. we should have turned around and left. We didn't. we ordered the mango chicken, tostones and blackadobo. the tostones were dollar for about chips of fried plantain. the black bohnensuppe (with my adobo) was usually added water with black bohnen, the salat (with the mango chicken) had too much edgy in the dressing, the rice and bon (which came with both nets) was really bland, the taste of the mango chicken was just. the pork was too sweet, and yes, I know it should be a sweet and acidic component. but it was too much. there was something positive. despite the taste, both flesh were tender, I must admit and the waitress was nice. I thought it might be a new restaurant (that had no previous knowledge of it before I admit) that had not found its groove yet, so I was shocked to find out that it had been for almost years! we will never go back and not suggest you.

We took our kids here the other night, our son had a burger that he really enjoyed but unfortunately they were out of bacon, he said that’s what would have made it great. Our daughter had fettuccine, she didn’t care for it but I tried...it and liked it, it was more of an “adult” pasta, not the KD she was used to. My husband had the beef ribs which were tender and flavourful. I had the mango coconut chicken which was good, as I’ve had it before, I also had the beans and rice with it and wished I had the potatoes instead. My husband did not prefer his beans and rice either. It was absolutely freezing in the restaurant, I had my sweater and coat on throughout the meal and I was still cold, all of us left our jackets on. The waitress was nice enough and efficient but not real friendly or welcoming. I would recommend but would say you need to know what to expect going there.
