Le Poisson Rouge - Les Sables-d'Olonne

One course 2 hours!!! Food was lovely but too slow. A good vantage point to see the seasons!!!!!! Sadly not a place that I can recommend

Appalling service. From a table for seven they forgot to cook half the orders. The first three meals were finished, but without their side order, long before the other four meals even arrived. The seven meals arrived in drabs over a period of nearly an...hour. No apology given but offered a paltry discount of the price of two soft drinks and one beer, and blankly refused any further reduction for the ridiculously poor service received. The food was good, but I could not recommend this restaurant, nor would I ever return.

After booking a table for dinner with my family, they let us wait 30 minutes before sitting outside, and after ordering the food we waited 3 hours to eat! When we politely asked the waitress where our...foods she was very rude for us with her answers, very average food, red wine was too hot to drink, at the end of this terrible night the manager gave us the bill and the only discount we got it was (an overpriced) bottle of sparkling water... (I don't go to eat Saturday to have discount, would I rather eat in 1 hour? P. Š. In the same night other tables complained for the same reason and the locals said that this restaurant is used to work like this, so no excuse. Tops

Much Sable closes in winter, but there are still a few places open and that was earned busy. From the moment I went, I felt welcome, which is not always the case when you are on your own. I have a table on the front, which means that you can see the busted port. There is a 16 Euro set menu and a 29 Euro one, but I went for the middle at 22 Euro and had a beautiful chèvre mousse on toast with salad and then a perfectly cooked and seasoned tuna steak with pommes vapeur, followed by an absolutely magnificent ceme brûlée with pistachio aroma. A 50 cl Pichet of decent red and the bill came to just over 40 euros. Good.

Loved this restaurant. Staff is amazing, food is fantastic. We went three times to this place and every time it was a great experience. I can recommend everyone to try this place. Thanks for the great dinner we had last week. Jan
