Bar Restaurant le Grand Cry - Les Gets

We literally stay on the street and come here for 10 years. We always end our day with a drink here. But this year we went for a drink and hospitality was terrible. Not only that they didn't want to serve, but when we asked for a cocktail, they said no gin or vodka did not offer us an alternative. I left the table and cleaned the tables around us. When we left the restaurant, we noticed Gin and Wodka on the shelf. We always support local businesses especially after 2 years of Covid. We're not going back! Party of 12 now goes down to the mountain for better service and a smile.

Nice duck salad. A change from the usual cheese ham in the Alps. Husband friends all had their very generous Tartiflette who went well. Children very happy with their pizzas.

I reserved a table for a late lunch for woman and I. Although our reservation had disappeared, the owner has sorted it quickly. Luckily it was a nice day and the restaurant was packed for lunch (must be 300). My wife ordered a beautiful vegetarian noodles she noticed were super hot and delicious. I ordered the Grand Salad (mixed super fresh salad, prepared potatoes, bacon, mushroom. Delicious. The service was good, especially considering how busy it was. We booked for lunch after coffee and a fabulous Tarte Tartin for morning snack. Great location in the sun at the bottom of the slope and delicious food. Nice to see more choice for those who want a change from traditional fare. Vegetation lighter elections begin to appear.

One of a few restaurants at the top of the main Les Gets gondola. This one sits furthest from the gondola at the foot of the drag lift which makes it very handy for watching kids ski while you have an extended lunch! We visited...here on a lovely sunny day at the end of the season with a large family group. Our waitress was super friendly and lovely. I had a delicious, huge salad with goats cheese on toast. There are some good simple choices for kids too.

Love this place, we have been visiting for about 6 years and have always found the service and food really good, the staff go out of their way to find you a table, the snail risotto is our favourite dish.
