Bidrage med feedbackThe road is long and winding, from which direction you come, but the restaurant is well signposted (yellow signs; if you don't see that you just go on). Watch horses on the street and observe the beautiful old dry stone walls around the fields. The restaurant is known on site and makes a popular stop for drivers, hikers and collectors of oldtimers. Several restaurants in rustic style. Outside is a children's playground and a herd of curious goats. Very friendly and happy welcome, very cozy. We had a cheap solid menu of mixed salad, which you yourself served from one of two small milk churns of dressing, jambon à l 'os (generous serving of ham cooked on the bone) with chips (Fries) or röstis the best I have ever eaten, pan roast in nothing but butter and a selection of desserts I had the ice cream with Damassine, For those who do not want ham, you can have a cheese plate, or choose from the à la carte menu that does not have fish, only steak, fillet, lamb and various other meats to be ordered with weight 100g, 200g etc. Compared to ham, I thought prices were expensive. The waitress was somewhat disappointed that some of us asked for Senf; she said the ham was tasty and juicy enough to enjoy without, but she brought two species to the table Swiss trademarks in tubes. Note that röstis needs a long time to cook properly to her juicy golden jars, and if it order more than two of you, it could wait one. Since they serve mainly meat, I think it would be a good idea to bring a stock of good dijon mustard.
We went there with family and friends, and I have to admit, it's not easy to find the place except you know. However, it is definitely worth a visit, they are super nice and warm people that would make you feel right at home. Her speciality is meat, or jam à l'os and her homemade roast. We had green salad as an appetizer, and they served two delicious homemade salad sauce. We also had pâté de compagne, which was also great. Main course we had jam and beef steak with their homemade roast. Everything was great, I recommend this place when you go to Jura.
Unless you know someone and drive there, you won't find this place. Located deep in the gentle hills of Franches Montagnes in the Swiss Jura, this is a popular place for horseback riding and cross-country skiing. This place has a place to park your horses (with water) and normal parking. Small playgrounds next to some fenced in goats and chickens. food is simple; Meat and potatoes, or in this case Pomme Rösti, which is typical Swiss. Basically, shredded potatoes made to look like an ego waffle (best way to describe it found). Meat is served on a hot stone and in different sizes, 200 to 450 grams. Owner and operator has a great sense of humor, woman in the kitchen, son at the bar... a true Swiss mom and dad place!
You have to prepare and know the way to find this restaurant far from montfaucons. who still manages it will not regret it. knochenschinken seems to be the specificity of the house. we decided to have a horse fillet from the grill with rösti. superzart the meat, buttersofte rösti. to dessert a Damassine-Parfait (foreseen: contains alcohol.) a dream.
If you haven't reserved, you don't get a rösti and you're put on a small table in the through....
