After the walk on the main roads of les eyzies, we happened on this small caffe opposite the museum. it was operated by a man/woman team, it was at the height of lunchtime. the orders are put into the house, with the patrons handed over a summer to alert them when...the orders are ready. eating is quickly prepared - my hamburger was great! desserts are delicious, and the atmosphere in the free added to the mix. we enjoyed a glass of wine with friends chatting and watching the tourists by. a star that is deducted by lack of table bussing, but after looking at the owners hectic orders and delivery, I can understand the delays.

After we were stopped at the wrinkled square at the foot of the hill and studiously was ignored, we retraded our steps and found parking. we came by chance about this caffe / restaurant and we so impressed by the friendly lady that we stayed for lunch! so glad we did. great local unpretentious cooking and big wine. reasonable and a beautiful environment. highly recommended. merci beaucoup!

Really good food, and I would have loved to have visited again were it not for an extremely unpleasant waitress who 'welcomed ' us on our visit there. I use the term 'Welcomed ' very loosely she was so rude that we almost left there and...then. It is such a pity to have the evening ruined by a waitress when the meal was really quite exceptional.
