Found by chance..wonderful glass enclosed dining area..excellent service..varied menu..liked very much..

Called in lunchtime on a walk which took in Les Eyzies. The place unpretentious but comfortable, with an attractive conservatory in which to eat. Straightforward food and wine. My wife and I each had perfectly cooked mushroom omelettes, walnut salad, with a decent glass of red plus coffees. They offer quite a wide range of meals. Good value at just under 30 euros. Attentive service.

We visited thus restaurant twice while visiting Les Eyzies. Great location with free parking on the street. The view is wonderful sit at the patio tables for a view of the arched bridge as well as the prehistoric cliff overhangs. The waiter spoke enough English to comfortably serve us with ease. Very nice family owned pizza place. Watch the restaurant hours in Les Eyzies..only serve food 12 2 and 6 8.

Luckily our first choice for a meal was closed in Les-Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil was closed this afternoon. I say luckily as we would have never found the Bar Alexandre had the first restaurant been open. We were able to get a delightful meal on Bar Alexandre 's lovely terrace. Alexandre will welcome you with fabulous service and an excellent menu featuring many local specialties. The Plat du Jour menu with an entree is only 11 euros. The five of us (2 adolescents) ate for 40 euros. My daughters loved the kid 's meal and the pizza. The service provided by the owner Alexandre set this apart from any dining experience I have ever had in France. This also outlines one of the major failings of Tripadvisor as Alexandre 's place is ranked 22nd out of 26 restaurants in Les Eyzies but all of the reviews are extremely positive. Give it a try and I am certain you will have a wonderful time.

Super welcome despite the last hour and all the restaurants had refused us. We were 7 with two small, and frankly very well welcomed, the setting is pleasant, the kitchen is clean, it keeps a side snack pizzeria, it was perfect for a reasonable price. children also enjoyed, really thank you and as a bonus we give us some tips to discover the region. top.
