Superb meal in a warm setting and super smiling service! THANKS

A very good address in the pretty village of Lens. A beautiful terrace with a superb view. Modern and refined cuisine, attentive and considerate staff.

We felt we deserved a treat! After hiking to Lens from Crans and climbing the winding path up to the Christ Roi and back down to the village, we were hungry and thirsty. More than ready for a good lunch! For just 25 francs, we were treated to a three course plat du jour. My friend chose Gaspacho to commence and I, a Hawaiian salad with prawns. Cordon bleu on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, with garnish, followed. My choice was truite saumonee on a bed of risotto, with mixed vegetables. Dessert ah ...... an apricot panna cotta. House made iced tea accompanied our meal, all of which was rounded off by an smooth Italian expresso. Le Monument is at the heart of the picturesque village of Lens, with a terrace out front and behind. Exquisitely and tastefully decorated, Le Monument is a must for all who appreciate good, wholesome, well prepared and presented cuisine. All this, against the backdrop of a stunning Swiss mountain village just 10 minutes from the Centre of Crans Montana.

A nice restaurant with the excellent hospitality of an Italian lady and her brother ; impeccable service and amazing wines of the region .But let’s talk about the superb dishes : an amouse bouche that takes you back to Italy ,a tasty variation on the foie gras ,a perfectly cooked pork served with vegetables and gourmet desserts with inventiveness and home made ice cream .I had to opportunity to snoop in other customers’s dishes and saw spectacular beef tartare served with fresh French fries and pasta dishes perfectly cooked.By the way the chef is Italian ! Very good prices in an area where the restaurants aren’t cheap! We will go back
