We are visiting Leiria from London and had a quite disappointing experience yesterday when we wanted to buy two lattes. We found it quite rude they wouldn’t accept our card payments when a local had just paid with her card before us.

More that 30 min for a toast on a quite morning. When asked about it, I got a reply implying it was normal. Surprise, when it arrived, the toast was cold. Tables where all wet and the waitresses didn't care, it had to be the customers to dry them. Not the first and surely not the last time a situation like this happen. This is just one of the many reasons why this is the last time I will come here.

Located steps away from the bus terminal, it's a good place to rest after a long ride. The pastry shop has adequate seating and a nice atmosphere. The desserts are delicious!
