Biomare - Leipzig

There have some vegan items that I have not yet seen in Germany (e.g. various types of chocolate, frozen food, cheese,) the fruit and veg looked really good and was not wrapped in plastic, there was a huge health and beauty department with vegan make-up brands that I had not seen yet, and a clothing department in the top. they also carry some special items that are hard to find like kaffir lime sheets. I felt like I was in something like whole foods or a co-op in the usa. I look forward to going back! it would be fun to get a snack and just hang around there.

I usually find everything necessary here. that is, it is quite expensive that I think is normal for an organic shop. I wish they didn't sell so much meat.

We bought too much here. but the selection was also really wonderful! there were nussecken and schiki for us.

I went to BioMare (the one in Plagwitz for a tea when I saw they had a vegan lunch and soup every day so I had to try it : All ingredients were shown on the menu and you could choose between small, medium or large portion. Very tasty, healthy cheap food! (Between 5-6 € for big portion . I had the main dish and my friend had the soup, both dishes came with bread and the big portions were more than filling. Recommend!

A lot of vegan options, a bit expensive but you can find there almost everything! there is also a bakery with great vegan breads. Updated from previous review on 2016-12-28
