Gasthaus Waldhorn

I could not remember the name of this place but it is a Greek restaurant so I looked under the Greek restaurants. Nothing! So I did a general search. Normally I would look at my credit card account but when I dined there, none of...my cards would work. Happily as they all did work subsequently it was clear that their equipment was at fault. From the outside this looks somewhat uninspiring and ordinary. We had walked practically the whole length of the main street when we found this at the south end. Initially it just looked like another gasthof but when we looked at the menu we were delighted as we love Greek food. Inside it is okay I would not say plush or splendid and there was only one other table dining there that night. But the lady who served us was helpful, if a bit slow, and the food was in fact quite good. If I am honest three and a half would be a more accurate rating but when having to award points out of five, it is sometimes difficult. We had the meze starter and the meze main course so we had the opportunity to sample a number of different dishes. When the chef eventually appeared he was a German born Greek who spoke excellent English. Quite a cocktail! We enjoyed it and I am sure we shall go there again if in this town. But take some cash in case their credit card machines do not work!

Der Gastraum ist Raucherbereich mit Theke und Spielautomaten - war zum Essen im Nebenzimmer. Die Karte bietet das übliche - Grillplatten, panierte Gummiringe, Vorspeisen. Die Preise sind günstig und das Essen ist OK, die Bedienung war freundlich und fix.

Die Gatstätte liegt an der Hauptstraße, Parkplätze sind vorhanden. Man kann preiswerte übernachten,allerdings ohne großen Komfort übernachten. Das Essen ist gut bürgerlichund preiswert.
