Bidrage med feedbackDeliciousness 4/5 Happiness 4/5 I'm honestly surprised at the low scores for this pub as I really enjoyed myself there. To be fair, it is definitely old school. Dark woods, carpeting, and a definite cigar smoke smell. Still, I enjoyed the atmosphere as a fun change from the modern chic bars. It also presents a nice view of the golf course. Not to mention that it was really good. The bartender was very engaging and knew how to make a real good mudslide. She also made sure my water was always filled and engaged in good conversation. There was a decent though small selection of craft beer on tap. I also ordered a wonton soup that was absolutely delicious. Real mushrooms, a nice lemongrass aroma, delectable dumplings and a cool presentation. I would definitely go back for the soup alone. I really enjoyed this place and it particularly delivers on the food and drink.
We ate here on first arriving at Landsdowne hotel. They do have a dress code of a collared shirt to eat inside, so because I was wearing a T-Shirt we had to eat outside. Eating outside was a not ideal as it was warm outside and people smoking out on the deck was not pleasant. The service was slow, probably cause they forgot we were outside. As for the food, we ordered the turkey club and the fish and chips. The fish and chips was very good and the turkey club was less than par. I would say it is a hit and miss with what you order here but the atmosphere is nice, and I am sure if you are able to eat inside it's even better
Good- Atmosphere tradtional, wood panels, comfy chairs, excellent terrace overlooking verdant driving range and golf course. Our calamari the best we've had, perfectly prepared. Service friendly and professional. Venue worth the visit. Not so good- Limited menu, most items pricey. I'd give it another star if prices were about 20% less.
Very bad experience. Rude manager and staff. We were a group of 15 people watching the World Cup game and they turned off the TV. Humiliating!! We had no choice but to leave. It is the worst experience we've had in a long time!!!
The place was almost completely empty, yet we were refused service for not wearing collared shirts at lunch time (at a pub! . The service (and food at the other restaurants is no better. For guests of the hotel, there is one sub-par, overpriced restaurant to eat with the same menu every day...unless you 'd like to wear a collared shirt to an expensive lunch.
