Bidrage med feedbackWent here for a few drinks whilst staying at the hotel to be brutally honest it was the best part of our stay. The staff were very polite and efficient and we were able to use our Village gym membership cards from Blackpool meaning a pint of Guinness was only £3.50 a pint. We plonked ourselves in front of the big screen and watched the sport on tv. There was a very good atmosphere generated by a few groups of guests a good time was had by all. Early in the morning it was very quiet at the same venue for breakfast. The choice was varied but who can resist a full English breakfast? A good way to finish what was otherwise an average visit to the hotel.
Originally stayed at the hotel in may and the food was awful so they offered us a complimentary stay. Came back a few months later but didn 't eat for dinner just for the breakfast. Arrived at dead on 10:30 (because we were held up by the queue in the pool) and the staff saw us at the door (and even made eye contact) but completely ignored us. We had to go in and approach them ourselves after a couple of minutes. They said we could get what was left but didn 't show us to a table or greet us just made us fend for ourselves. We went and sat on one and the waitress just came over and abruptly said 'you can 't sit there it 's all set up for for dinner ' without telling us where we could actually sit or hello or anything.. then the only table we could find had wasn 't set up properly.. two people came over and asked which room we were in.. then we left and walked past two members of staff who didn 't say thank you or goodbye or anything even though it was dead. The staff were clearly miserable and just taking it out in the customers. Wouldn 't eat there ever again just badly run by the looks of it..
This is a typical hotel pub that serves the typical fried fare you would expect. The beer is decent quality and the prices are not too expensive either.
Popped in for tea before a meeting. We ordered club sandwiches which came with chips. They were tasty and just what we needed. The service was good
The food in here is very nice, we have stayed at Village hotels a number of times and the Victory bar has never failed to produce nice food. The drinks are a little higher priced than in a pub but it is a hotel afterall and is to b expected. It certainly didn't break the bank though. Recommended.
