Bidrage med feedbackMost probably one of the best Caribbean spots in England when it comes to authenticity. Having travelled to most the major cities to try Caribbean food i find myself continually drawn back to Maureen’s. The jerk is always fresh and moist and the curries thick wnd luxurious like I’m used to back home. To top it all off they have kept prices very affordable and the quality high.
Friendly staff, tasty food. Stopped off for food on the way to Manchester. Will be back next time I'm in Leeds
First time I have had this and must say absolutely beautiful tasting food. Had jerk chicken rice and beans and macaroni. Too much in 1 portion for me saving the rest till later. The gravy was spicy but really lifted the dish. Definitely would get again
I moved away from Leeds a few months ago, and not a day goes by that I don't miss its food. Whenever I return to Leeds, the first place I'll stop is Maureen's.
I visited today and tried the jerk chicken with boiled rice and two fried dumplings. The food was absolutely delicious, and it came with a flavorful sauce that complemented the bun perfectly—it wasn’t dry at all. I noticed that many Caribbean dishes like patties and curry mutton were sold out. The menu features mostly halal options, which would be great for Maureen to promote further, as it could attract those wanting to experience it. The bun was definitely a highlight. I plan to return in the coming days to try something else. I'm not sure if they have specific dishes that are always available since some items were sold out. Thank you for the wonderful service, and I'm excited to explore this new place!
