Bidrage med feedbackWe attended Sawmill for Dinner. Needless to say it was disappointing overall. Initially, the waitress brought us drink menus to decide what beverages we’d like. We then waited approximately 20 minutes for the waitress to return and take our order. And, that was only after I mentioned to a waiter/host, that we were ready to order. Even after mentioning it, we still waited approximately 10 minutes. The Kobe burgers did not taste like Kobe beef at all. Whether or not a blend was used, we will never know. But, these burgers tasted like regular beef burgers that were over cooked. We have had Kobe burgers, at other restaurants, that were outstanding and are familiar with the flavour, texture etc. The Ponzu Salmon was dry and over cooked. The sprouts were charred to the point of being dry, crispy and having a burnt taste. The wine and beer selection is very limited and could definitely use some additions. The Grizzly Bear was excellent. I would recommend that liquor coffee. I’d definitely say this restaurant has potential and could be a hit if some key issues were addressed.
Mediocre service ,steak knives wont even cut paper, cold tea ,rotten coffee service, kobe beef wasn't kobe beef only regular hamburger, pork chop tougher than a pigs nose!
I heard so much about this place. Reserved ahead of time. Quite table. Server was prompted and pleasant. I love my Prime Rib and this was the worst I have tasted. Medium rare, but tough and no flavour. Couldn’t finish it. My other guest had the same and as well was not good. Another ordered steak and ribs. Ribs tasted like warm over and steak had no flavour and was chewy. A manager I guess) came around and asked how our meal was. We told him. Later another manager came and apologized. We paid full price, no compensation and never offered anything else. Unless this place improves in reviews, I won’t be coming back. Noticed in other reviews, meat was always tough and same complaint as mine. As a Prime Rib Steak House. They failed in all counts.
We were a group of 8, there for a family celebration (2 over 80, 4 over 60, 2 over 30, 1 toddler) Our reservation was for 5:00pm. Our server, Raj, was absent most of the time, and our dinner which consisted of 8 entrees, 2 desserts and a kids meal took 3 hours. That's right, no appetizers. It was well after 6:00 before he even took our food order, and closer to 7 before we got our meals. It almost seemed that our waiter was inconvenienced while taking our orders, looking angry and continuously looking at his other tables. He did not make any kind of small talk or ask if we wanted more drinks or how our meals were. The meals were all good, with the exception of the prime rib dinners, they were tough. For food, I would still rate it 7 out of 10, but service was really nonexistent, so a 1 there. Of course the Saw Mill has a mandatory 18% gratuity for parties of 8+, so you have to wonder if that played a part in our service. We watched other tables come and go without having to wait. Mom has always insisted on the Saw Mill for these family meals, but I think she is ready to move on now.
Had dinner with my husband here on our layover heading to Mexico. Leaving an honest review, because I appreciate food and also enjoy reading reviews myself. We wanted to have a nice dinner before we head off and this was close to our hotel. Prime Rib sounded good, so we opted for this place. We both had prime rib and split the caprese salad. The salad was much better than the actual meal. Prime rib wasn’t melt in your mouth like you expect for price . It was quite hard and underwhelming for flavor. Au jus was terrible. Mashed potatoes were good, but overall it wasn’t a meal worthy of 125 for 2 people.
