Bidrage med feedbackFood and quality cuisine, excellent wines, impeccable service. We've never been disappointed. We highly recommend it!
Very warm welcome from Nadège, Aurore, no....Laura. We came back from the Champagne...from a table...facile. Cooking fries, just perfect for Belgians we are. Romain promised to come back.
Perfect home and excellent cuisine, a small gastro at a small price. A pearl.
Great place whith simple but high quality local kitchen. Good wine choice. Normal price range. Recomendation.
My husband I visited this restaurant this evening with our 20 month old toddler. We have previously stayed in Etoges and and have been very impressed with service and quality of food. We were booked in by our Air BNB host, and had confidence...that we would be enjoying a lovely meal with friendly staff. Tonight however, unfortunately was a very different story. I am vegetarian and expressed this at the start of the meal prior to ordering. I was told I would be getting 'vegetables '. I was met by a very hostile waitress (did not catch her name, but short blonde hair who basically told me that I was ordering vegetable and did it matter what sauce or accompaniments would come with it? I found this astonishing, but on accepting that this seemed to be the only meal choice, asked if I could opt for starters and dessert. Again , this very unhelpful, front of staff waitress told me that now that we were seated I was obliged to order their 'vegetable ' main dish, undefined beyond this. She was unable to tell me which sauce this would be cooked in, and that it did not come with anything else, and that she was the only English speaking waitress, and I could not discuss this with the chef. I felt cornered into ordering this unappetising vague option. I was actually quite upset, and made to feel almost unworthy of an order. I am not usually one to complain (and embarrassingly nor one to recommend on Trip Advisor despite sometimes very brilliant service but this service has left me obliged to write a review, to warn any fellow vegetarians of this terrible and upsettingly rude attitude. My husband ordered a steak and was sadly also not very impressed by this (rated this 6/10 . Again he is open and accepting, esp given this is a small village, but just overall unimpressed given the price of the evening. I was fair and polite, but was left in tears after the attitude and unacceptable rudeness from our waitress tonight. Considering our dinner plus a bottle of wine was close to 70 euros. My husband had a full meal and ordered a dessert to share, but we were charged this total for essentially a plate of steamed veg, and a dessert which was stale and nothing impressive (I had luckily brought dinner for our toddler with me- no 'child friendly menu available ' . Myself and my husband have dined in many fine restaurants and are well travelled, and despite language barriers and my vegetarian diet, I have never ever encompassed such a rude and awful attitude. It saddens me to say this, as we have previously had a lovely experience (twice in the region, but we would NOT recommend and sadly will NOT be coming back to this restaurant. they need to change their attitude and staff need to be more friendly/humane.
