Comme Une Evidence

Went here for my birthday meal while on holiday hoping for something a bit special. To be honest, we were all a little disappointed. All of us had a decent meal there was nothing really wrong with any of it. But the overwhelming impression was of a restaurant that is trying too hard to be different and unfortunately not executing it very well. They should focus on just delivering the basics properly. For example, one of us had a takaki steak with noodles. It was nice but tasted more like satay beef. It just left us slightly deflated. Similarly the desserts were only ok the chocolate caramel tart is good, but the apricot tart was too sour and the il flottante was really quite odd with coconut. It’s not a massive issue if you’re having a cheap and cheerful meal, but this place is priced at the slightly higher end so I think you would expect something more than just an ok meal. Those who had the pork belly were pretty happy so definitely the one to go for if you’re eating here. Overall not a bad meal but just not quite *there* in my opinion.

We had a decent dinner at the restaurant Comme une évidence. The food is tasty and simple. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were friendly. The right place for a quick simple dinner.

Two courses for 17 and three for 23 with a good selection of local fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. The waiting staff are helpful and efficient, ask for a glass of local wine you won't be disappointed! It's a good place to have lunch outside on the market square, watching the world go by.

On the island of oleron, we came for the second time to eat in the restaurant "like a spot". We weren't running, our server was very nice and good advice. The dishes are made of fresh products, the plates well presented and copied!seul small negative point: the cooking of the langoustines (entré 2€), indeed it was much too cooked, the flesh was purified in the shell. We'll come back anyway!

A terrace dinner in this very good restaurant quality incredible price for 17,90 euros an entrance and a dish worthy of a semi gastro, home cuisine, original,and tasty .bravo has all the team.
