We had luck on the day of our visit at the top of snaefell, as the prospects were excellent from wales to eire. the wind was a lot of power, but it was worth it. the restaurant was warm and hospitable with hot drinks and dips.
I last visited this café back in 2016, it seemed to have had a make-over in the meantime! Cheery interior, very helpful and welcoming staff. If you're after an extra special momento; buy a postcard and special stamp from the counter to send a postcard from the mountain's postbox! You'll get a special postmark from Snaefell.
It was an amazing journey to the summit, offering many beautiful views, though it was a bit breezy!
We visited this morning, excited to ride the charming Victorian tram in hopes of catching a glimpse of the six kingdoms. Unfortunately, the weather was windy, cool, and less than ideal, so our plans were thwarted. However, the café and shop, bless their hearts, were clean, tidy, and welcoming—a much-appreciated refuge from the cold. It was a unique way to spend part of the day, even with only a view of the nearby high-end restaurants.
