Ladybird Diner - Lawrence

Such a fun and funky spot! Perfect diner feel with the most eclectic decorations. We sat at the bar which is nestled on the side just past the pie case, filled with some of the most beautifully made pies! It was breakfast and busy. The food is incredible, my partner had the chicken fried steak breakfast, it came with an egg any style on top. He devoured it and I had The Dodge, two eggs any style, three strips of bacon and the most delicious handmade biscuit with gravy. It was massive and filling. I also had an iced vanilla latte that was chefs kiss. We finished off with a slice of the coconut cream pie, the filling decadent and the crust so perfectly made it melted in your mouth. We don't live right down the road but we will be visiting the town and the diner again. The town of Lawrence is one of the cutest downtown areas we've seen so far. Don't sleep on this spot or this town there is tons to do, see, and eat!

I love the Ladybird! Great breakfast menu, the chicken fried steak is good, but my favorite is the chicken pot pie!

Once you can stand the beat up booths with lumpy seats, loud music and choppy service it's ok. The food is good but they need to improve on other issues. Clearly a restaurant for younger crowd, my elderly parents didn't enjoy it much, lol. Please turn down the music though and another time we went 30 mins before closing and we were rejected.!
