Souvlaki GR - Laval

Great food always fresh not expensive. Local owners so not mass produced. Never fail food and close yourself better. Love the yero

In my previous review, I had criticized the small portion sizes and the use of french fries in the Souvlaki. However, it seems that they have made some changes as my recent experience was much better. There could have been more tomatoes, but overall it was an improvement from last time and there were no fries in the pita. The fries were still delicious as always. I appreciate that they seem to be taking customer feedback into consideration. In light of COVID-19 distancing measures, I would recommend that they offer car-side delivery or ask customers to wait outside rather than crowded indoors.

The riders at Souvlaki GR are incredible! The best pommes I've had for years. The Pita bread they use is also excellently fresh and soft. The disappointing part was the souvlaki filling. It was delicious, but there wasn't enough of it. The pig... the pieces were very small, the onion paper thin and almost non-existent, and very few tomato pieces. They add frits in the pita, maybe to try for lack of filling. The tzatziki was perhaps not as delicious as some other Greek restaurants, but the top is that you do not wake up the next morning with tzatziki breath as you do after eating at the leading souvlaki place in the city. All in all, a good value for the price you pay.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant last year, and I have been back several times since. The pizza is the best I've had, and the fries are also delicious!

Love Souvlaki GR, have done eat in and take out. The Tiropita and Spanakopita are delicious appetizers. The greek salad is nice and fresh and the pork gyro was delicious!
