Phar - Lausanne

The Brasserie Bavaria is a nice German restaurant located in the Lausanne downtown. All dishes were very good and well cooked. A nice dressing for such kind of restaurant. Well done However, the place is super noisy and hot when full of people. We were seated upstairs and unfortunately only one waiter was taking care of the room. The service was then super slow…

Recently renovated, very friendly service but food quality just not there. My companion, a regular of the restaurant ended up sending his classic dish back, profuse apologies from the kitchen replaced with something else, but that also was very average.

Why I'm saying that? Well I tried the plat du jour; which was alright but superb. My colleagues who were there have tried other dishes I have tasted and they were better. The atmosphere is nice and love the brasserie type. Tbe service was good. So I'll go again and try a plate a la carte. Give me your feedback I'm curious.

I never used to come here, but since it's reopened, it's lost its gloom. Now, I've discovered a light, cheerful and welcoming restaurant, with very friendly staff. The food was great. I had the two Bavarian white sausage with potato salad: no ubiquitous commercial salad dressing here. The food was fresh and tasty. I'll be back.

Es gibt wirklich keinen guten Grund, dieses Lokal eine typische Brasserie mit deutschem Bier , zu berücksichtigen. Weder überzeugten uns das Essen zähes Rumpsteak vom Anschnitt ! , viel zu süsses Sauerkraut, staubtrockene Hamburger, Stummel-Pommes Frites noch der zwar freundliche Service lediglich zwei Personen für das ganze Restaurant . Immerhin sind die Preise moderat.
