Balmoral On York - Launceston

Every time I visit Launceston, I always choose to stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and practical, with helpful staff. I appreciate that each room has windows that open for fresh air, in addition to the option of using the air conditioning or heater. The location is convenient for exploring the town, and the water pressure in the showers is excellent. The hotel offers no frills, but it provides honest accommodation and service that harkens back to a time when value for money was paramount. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and there is on-site parking and daily room service. This hotel makes planning a trip back to Launceston a breeze!

Balmoral on York has the friendliest staff in Launceston. They are lovely, cheerful, and helpful. The motel is conveniently located near the main shopping area and cafes, and the breakfast provided with my booking was excellent. Although the room was a bit worn, it was clean, comfortable, and offered a great price. I would definitely stay here again because of the amazing staff who made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to accommodate me.

Outstanding. Clean. Affordable, Great Breakfast great hosts/owners. We had a great room with a queen single bed. Room was spacious, clean and had everything you could want or need. We couldn’t fault our stay and would definitely RECOMMEND we look forward to returning again again. Our new affordable place to stay in Launceston.

Breakfast was included in our tariff and was very enjoyable. The service was friendly and the eggs cooked as ordered.

Much nicer hotel than it looks from the outside. Everything is clean and nice views toward the river. The breakfast is great and the service is excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.
