Mikasa Japanese Bistro - Lathrop

I would highly recommend Trina this place if you have not. The wife and I go at least once a month and try a different roll every time! They've recently installed a self pay machine in the front which is really nice because it tell you if your to-go order is ready and they bring it up to the front.

This place never disappoints! I've ordered to go, I've dined several times and it's always delicious. Everyone is helpful and checks on us multiple times. The food always tastes fresh and is full of flavor. I've been to the Tracy location which is equally wonderful. They have many options from rolls to appetizers. I cannot recommend this place enough.

This review is for last Sunday! Wasn't busy but service is slow since they were only have two waitress. Luckily I have a tip to advise you to check the the menu online and pre-order what you want to dine in. Make sure your 10 minutes away or you can reserve a spot. So I order (on the phone)mikasa roll, DCS roll, bento box chicken and salmon katsu. Last I also ordered my favorite salmon kama dinner. Once we got here we were seated asap and our soup and salad was ready right away and got all our food 5-10 after seated. People look at us like they got here first and there food was too long. They should have a plan and execute it. Overall this place is a good day.

My friends brought me here on a lovely Saturday evening. They have came multiple times but this was my first. They spoke so highly of it. I ordered my usually two sushi rolls for myself. I forget which two but they were both fantastic! I could not agree with my friends more on the taste of Mikasa. We also ordered some drinks and I had their take on an old fashion and it was tremendous. I can't wait to come again and try some different rolls and indulge in some alcoholic drinks with some friends.

Great spot. It offers a variety of dishes, and both the service and ambiance have me going back often.
