Bidrage med feedbackBeer is great and the place is nice, I ordered some wings and they were good but the ranch sauce wasn’t creamy like normal, it was diluted with milk, everything else excellent
Scotia Ale is excellent, Elephants on Parade and Open Space Haze are good, as is the green chile cheeseburger.
Nice brewpub near New Mexico State University. New digs a few doors down from their beginnings. World Class oatmeal stout. About 20 beers on tap that range from IPA to stout Duck confit egg rolls to street tacos. Younger university crowd full of energy. Higher Educational Chillin
A LAS CRUCES TAP ROOM WITH VERY GOOD, CREATIVE BEER In October 2015 a Mr. Sensitive beer expert checked out BOSQUE BREWING COMPANY across from the university. Here 's how it all went down: Bosque Brewing is a small Las Cruces location set up by the main Brewing Company in Albuquerque. The beer is brewed in their Albuquerque facility. Unlike the Albuquerque taproom the Las Cruces location, as of this time, does not serve food. This location has a bar, a few tables inside, and some more tables and chairs on an outdoor patio. (I believe as of September 2017 they have moved down the building a spot or two and now are in a larger location with a little food??? Our expert, knowing the reputation of Bosque Brewing in Albuquerque, went in with moderately high expectations. He said he was not disappointed. Overall he sampled about eight of their beers. The service was fine and they handled the Friday night crowd fairly well. The first beer tasted was the Pale Ryder, a light citrusy pale ale. The beer was good but there was no wow factor here. He rated it about a 3.75 on a scale of five. The River Walker IPA our expert felt was pretty solid and he rates it about a 4.25. It had a big citrusy hop punch. It was somewhat bitter but it stands out from other similar IPA 's. The Scotia Scotch Ale....not hoppy but caramel and malt driven, was a thick, rich beer with a sweet taste that hides the higher alcohol content. Our expert really enjoyed this beer. The Anniversary Baltic Porter is a style our expert wishes more breweries would try. Most make simple, basic porters. Baltic Porter ups the ante on everything; heavier malts, more hops, much higher abv%. He said he respects that they made it and did it well. This was a very solid beer.....rates it very high. The seasonal Pumpkin Spice Beer. Our evaluator said he has had many pumpkin beers served around the country this year and this one is probably in the top three or so. It was not overly spiced (which is easy to do . The balance of pumpkin and spice was almost perfect. This was a very good beer. Honey Toast: This is a dark Belgian Ale. This style is not one of his favorites. He said it wasn 't bad but it was nothing special. Rates it 3.75. Humo Rojo: This is a smoked red ale. The bartender said this was his favorite. Our expert said he likes a good red ale but the smoke of this one was overpowering and that cancelled out most of what he was looking for. He said he is sure this beer has a following but it just wasn 't his thing. Driftwood Oatmeal Stout was the one beer that disappointed. It was ok but it seemed to fall a little flat. Overall, the expert said that Bosque did a good job with their brewing with above average to very good beer. Their beer is more expensive than beers at High Desert but the beer brewed at Bosque is much more expensive to make given the complexity of the recipe and the flavor. Overall, Bosque Brewing Company had beer that was considerably better than that served at High Desert. Las Cruces is fortunate to have this kind of good, creative beer served in this town. If you are a beer lover, give it a shot..
Excellent beer. Occasionally there will be a food truck or you can bring your own. When it's warm, sit out on the patio.
