Bidrage med feedbackThe last time I had pupusas was over ten years ago when the were home cooked by a Salvadoreña family I knew as a teenager. I had since forgotten about this food until I ordered the tipico here. From the first bite it was like a lightbulb going on in my mind where I remembered all the fun times I had with those people sharing pupusas at the table. Very thankful for reconnecting with those memories. If ever you 're passing through Laredo, give yourself a meal that you 'll remember. It 's absolutely worth it.
We were visiting from San Antonio and had heard great things about ESA. Well we definitely were not disappointed! Great food and great service! We had the plate that had a little bit of everything, it was so delicious! The pic doesn't do it justice, sorry for bad photo skills! Oh be sure to ask for the Habanero sauce-if you have a pepper belly like me, you'll love it!
I was visiting from Illinois to visit family for a week and I wanted something different and found this gem. I got the traditional plate with a little bit of everything. It was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant and the staff was so kind!
First time! Owner was great told me what everything was. Never had this style of Central American food and it's delicious. I will be back.
Do not be deceived by this hidden gem. Despite its small size, the restaurant is very clean, family-operated, and has great flavors! This was our first visit, and we decided to try a bit of everything with the typical Salvadoran dish. We ordered the special and combined pupusas, both of which were delicious and served with freshly made coleslaw and tomato sauce. The empanada and plantain pastel were also tasty. My least favorite was the yucca because it was a bit bland, but the chicharrón on top was delicious. We also tried the morro horchata, a refreshing blend of rice and cocoa flavors. The prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly.
